Perhaps the always diabolical Adam Silver believed he was being generous, giving the Suns, who 6 games back of the 8 seed *technically* have a shot at the playoffs. 

Silver, who at times has lost his way with the players, is known to also lose sight of the bigger picture. Will this cost him his life, at the hands of a man vengeful enough to snub a chance at USA basketball? I'll hand it over to my good pal, Bill Simmons on that one. Bill?

Season starts with a steroid bust and ends with 8 pointless games in the midst of a pandemic! Boy oh boy, you talk about a tough scene. Shit, Deandre Ayton might just ask them to decline his passport and stay down in the Bahamas. Think i'm comin' back for this shit, you're outta your fuckin' mind. That man can't even fit on any of the rides at Disney World during his spare time,  ain't no way in hell i'm comin' back.

If they had simply had lost just a *single* extra game, they coulda just stayed at home, takin' down flapjacks like Chilly Willy. Just one more. 7 games back versus 6, MJ takes down the Suns yet again. Whadda damn shame.
