#5- Week 9- New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sunday Night Football, NBC.
Final matchup of the season for two of the NFL's heavyweights. The two Brady v Brees matchups may very well determine who gets the division title and who's walkin' into a wild card matchup...Last season, goin' outside of that dome gave Ol' Drew the NOODLIEST of arms which quite frankly, ain't great! The facts though, are that he has an incredible supporting cast that can alleviate some of those fears.....unlessssssss...he has to get into a shootout. THAT, could get ugly, and quickly.
Brady looked worse last year, but it's much easier to chalk that one up to...well, he had absolutely fuckin' no one to throw to. His arm didn't suddenly look 42 and he didn't suddenly become scared in the pocket. He is and still will be, very good.
It'll be quite interesting to see how this one unfolds given that both rosters and stacked top to bottom with very few holes.
#4- Week 6- Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys, Monday Night Football, ESPN.
Kyler is poised to have a monster year and the Cowboys just gave Dak every weapon on the face of the planet. Kliff going 4 wide against a defense i'm not sure employs 4 CB's could be interesting...Has Mike McCarthy truly evolved as a coach or will he continue to run slants to Amari Cooper until Pat Pete takes one for 6...? We'll just have to find out
Love it or hate it, a Monday Night game in the Jerry dome feels different than any other stadium. It's a real shame we won't have the talents of Booger and Tess on hand. Instead, we'll get some old Cowboys retread and Mike "Mama Mia" Tirico. Yay.
Is the Cardinals offensive line going to be competent enough to not get Kyler killed this year? Well,,, with almost 50 sacks and no major upgrades on that line...Bold strategy cotton, lets see how it pays off for 'em..
Kyler Murray had one of the greatest rookie seasons I've ever seen from a QB, so here's a thread on his impressive first season in the NFL. pic.twitter.com/F6gGim9okv— Johnny Kinsley (@Brickwallblitz) January 2, 2020
#3- Week 13- Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday Night Football, NBC.
Drew Lock reeled me in last year, I think he's gonna be really good. He has IT, Jeff Van Gundy. The fact that the Broncos brought in Jeudy and Hamler to add to Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant....No team has had speed like that since, oh yeah....The Kansas City Chiefs.
This game is gonna be a fuckin' TRACKMEET. Like watching an Olympic relay race, just fly routes and 60 yard BOMBS. I'll tell ya right now, barring the snow, I WILL be taking the Over in this game. This thing is gonna look like the 2018 MNF Chiefs @ Rams game...It's also an in-division, playoff deciding game in the final weeks of the season.
This could easily be the game of the year and I will look dumb as hell for having it at number 3....What can ya do..
#2- Week 15- San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys, Sunday Night Football, NBC.
Or as I prefer to call it, the Terrell Owens invitational. Sorry, Eagles fans.
Both of these teams are gonna be flat out good this year and competing for division titles the whole way through. Say what you want about Jimmy G, have whatever invalid criticisms of Dak you want...both teams have well rounded rosters and do the most important thing in football ...they score points in a hurry.
The amount of pure talent mixed with the implications this game could have on division races, is why it's in the top two. Dome game equals no weather issues and it's two of the most popular and storied franchises on primetime. It could easily end up having the highest ratings of any regular season game.
Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle, that running game and defense?...going against Dak, Amari, Gallup, Lamb, Zeke and that O-line? There's about 800 different ways this game could end up going and they'd all be entertaining as hell.
#1- Week 3- Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens, Monday Night Football, ESPN.
I mean, if you aren't excited for this game, you just simply don't have a soul. If you've ever even heard the word football and aren't excited for this game, I question your integrity as a human. I mean it's the two best football teams in the world going head to head on the biggest stage in regular season sports.
Waking up and knowing that this game is coming in the months ahead, is what's getting me through the Quarantine.
The contrasting offenses, the speed, the futures of the league.
The Over will be taken and the good times will be had.
I swear to god if the season is delayed, imma hurt someone.
